JUSTICE AND PEACE REFUGEE PROJECT AT OUR LADY OF LOURDES DEAF CENTRE, NEWCASTLE.
The project is currently experiencing unprecedented pressure, owing to sharply increasing numbers seeking help. 306 bags of food are needed each week and in August the register was closed to new clients for a month. In the 14 years of the project demand has never been higher. Because of this, we are appealing to our regular supporters to keep up their parish collections and to increase them if at all possible. Please continue to keep bringing in TOILET ROLLS as these are only handed out now when there are enough rather than one in every bag every week. Tins of sardines are also still welcome.
There is a collecting box at the back of Church in the porch area where these items can be placed
