(Not to be confused with the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Educational Trust, or BHCET)
The partnerships in this diocese were created by Bishop Seamus Cunningham as a result of the Forward Together in Hope consultation with the aim of encouraging collaboration between the laity and priests of neighbouring areas. The Hogarth Partnership is made up of the Darlington parishes of St Anne’s, St Augustine’s, Holy Family, St Teresa’s, St Thomas Aquinas, Saints Williams and Francis de Sales in addition to St Osmond’s at Gainsford and St Mary’s Barnard Castle.
Although the partnership committee is not currently meeting, some partnership groups continue to serve our community. Preparation for the sacrament of Baptism is led by partnership volunteers. The spirituality group regularly facilitate Alpha and Sycamore courses and have recently screened episodes of ‘The Chosen’. There is an active partnership drama group Hogarth Partnership Players who have toured several productions around parish venues. They have also written and produced a film of a contemporary and thought provoking version of the Last Supper.
Fr Kevin Dixon is the Partnership Dean and Julie Humphrey is the chair.
